Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Rivers South East Senatorial District in the legislative re-run elections, has described the release of Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree who has been standing trial for an alleged murder charge as the spring board the party needed to jump into victory on the December 10 re-run elections.
“The release is the spring board that we need to jump to victory on the December 10re-run elections”.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt and signed by his spokesperson, Mr. Parry Saroh Benson, Abe said the bail granted to him would raise the morale of party supporters in the state.
He stated that Ojukaye had contributed so much to the political development of Kalabari kingdom and Rivers State in general and a veritable asset to Rivers APC, pointing out that it was the reason why his oppressors wanted him at all cost to be behind the bars.
He,however, commended the judiciary for their courageous and fearless decision to grant him bail.
“What has happened today is a testament to the fact that an independent, fearless and courageous judiciary remains the only hope for the people of this country and whatever can be done to ensure that the judiciary remains uncontaminated by corruption must be done so that Nigerians can have hope”.
He congratulated the APC, Ojukaye and family for the freedom the Court granted.
