The arrest of confirmed member of the Gang that killed and beheaded DSP Mohammed Alkali and recovery of the late DSP’s cellphone from him has continued to generate reactions from members of the public, and a head way in exposing persons behind this grievous and barbaric act.
On Saturday 17th Dec. 2016 at about 1800hrs exactly six (6) days after the gruesome murdered of the cops; the continued success unrelented efforts and meticulous forensic investigations has led to the arrest of a member of the dreaded Cult Group that ambushed, killed and beheaded DSP Mohammed Alkali and his Driver at Uju Forest Omoku area of Rivers State.
The Technical Intelligence Support from TIU and 48PMF eventually led to the arrest one of the key Gang members named Christian Chukwuemela Ekiekeme 22yrs aka Prince Okoroma, native of Okposi Village Omoku Town, Rivers State by IRT Operatives in Omoku Town.
He was arrested on his way from the Creek to visit his Girlfriend. Among others, he was arrested with the Late DSP Mohammed Alkali’s LG Phone.
Investigations reveals that he as confessed to the crime of ambushing, killing and beheading of the DSP. He further revealed that the Body of the Driver and the head of the Late DSP were thrown into the River, while the White Mitsubishi Pickup Van belonging to the Police Team is Parked deep inside Uju Forrest with the key still on the Ignition.
He also revealed that the gang numbering Nine (9) of them headed by “Bright aka Nothing pass God” among others had in possession Seven(7) AK47 Rifles and 2 Pump action Guns; and that they ambushed and killed the Police team because the Police where against the Governor and their Party the PDP.
The following persons where mentioned as the gang members: Kelvin, John Ahiaikwo, Chukwuemela Aka Jungle Justice, Izu, Bright (Gang leader), Okechukwu, NGOZI, Christian, Himself and Kachi Nwokocha who is their Sponsor and most times take directives from an undisclosed person he simply referred to as “Oga”.
Serious efforts are on to arrest the remaining gang members.
