Agitators of South South General Council last week lost their bid to cause more havoc in the lingering crises that has rocked Assemblies Of God Nigeria as the Justice Ilaumo of the Akwa Ibom State High Court struck out their case,and described them as meddlesome Interlopers
The case In the High Court of Akwa Ibom State in the Ikono Judicial Division with Suit No. HKN/6/2016, filed by the so called south south rebellious leader Rev Austine Dickson and 9 others against the Gen Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev. Dr Chidi Okoroafor ,Ikono Area Supervisor Rev. Edet Essien and the Secretary Rev. E. J. Usukumah was filed in 2016.
They had prayed the court to remove the 3 defendants from their various offices. But the Hon Justice ILAUMO on Thursday 9/2/2017 struck off the case declaring that south south agitators has no constitutional right to file a suit against any holder of office in Assemblies Of God Nigeria being a registered religious body with CAC and having a Board of Trustees headed by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor.
The Hon Justice concluded that the south south agitators in Ikono are only busybodies that have no interest in the matter already settled in the Appeal Court at Enugu in April 2015
