Following the February 24th of the Supreme Court in the Leadership crises that rocked Assemblies Of God Nigeria following the refusal of the Former General Superintendent Rev Paul Emeka to abide by the Decision of the General Commitee Suspending in March 6th 2014,the Corporate Affiars Commission has written to the Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria.
In a letter dated 3rd April and signed by Mr Bello A Fanini for Registrar General of the Commission and addressed to Barr Lawrence Erewele, one of the Lawyers to Assemblies Of God Nigeria, the Corporate Affiars said it has withdrawn the letter dated 22nd June 2015 recalling the Certificate for change of Trustees of The Assemblies Of God Nigeria issued on 30th April 2015 as the Dismissal of Rev Paul Emeka’s Appeal by the Supreme Court, means that the Certificate given to Assemblies Of God Nigeria is valid and authentic.
“Following the Judgement of Supreme Court Dismissing the Appeal in SC.396/2015(REV.PROF.PAUL EMEKA VS REV DR CHIDI OKOROAFOR& 18ORS),the Commission hereby withdraws the letter dated 22nd June,2015 recalling the certificate for change of trustees of the Assemblies Of God Nigeria issued on 30th April 2015 as the Dismissal of the above Appeal means that the said Certificate is valid and authentic”
The Commission also begged Assemblies Of God Nigeria to withdraw the suit in Court
“Consequently, you may wish to withdraw Suit No.FHC/ABJ/CS/551/2015(INCORPORATED TRUSTEES OF ASSEMBLIES OF GOD NIGERIA VS CAC) as the Confirmation of validity of the Certificate of change of trustees issued on 30th April,2015 has rendered same unnecessary” the Commission Stated
With the Letter,it means that Rev Paul Emeka is now a past tense as far as Assemblies Of God Nigeria
