Over three hundred Prominent Ogoni politicians of the Peoples Democratic Party from four local government areas of Rivers South East Senatorial District have endorsed Governor Nyesom Wike for a second term in office.
The prominent Ogoni politicians comprised of serving government officials, former political appointees, elected political office holders and former public office holders from Khana, Gokana, Tai and Eleme local government areas.
The PDP Stakeholders in a communiqué read by Senator Lee Maeba unanimously urged Governor Wike to present himself for re-election in 2019.
He said their decision was base on the excellent performance of the governor within two years of his first term in office.
The PDP Stakeholders from Rivers South East Senatorial District in the communiqué said never again will they allow the military, the police and other security agencies to intimidate and influence the outcome of future elections in the four local government areas of the senatorial zone.
According to Ryhtm Fm Portharcourt signatories of the communiqué by the prominent Ogoni stakeholders who endorsed Governor Nyesom Wike for a 2nd term in office include Senator Lee Maeba, Monday Ngbor , all former commissioners and current Special Advisers under the present government, Secretary to Rivers State Government Ken Kobani, all former PDP federal and state lawmakers, current and local government Caretaker Chairmen among others.
