Poeples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, has called on traditional rulers in the state to ignore attacks by the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Governor Nyesom Wike, saying that the governor would not be distracted by alleged empty words from the rival political party.
Chairman of the PDP, in the state, Mr Felix Obuah in a statement, yesterday by his media aide, Mr Jerrry Needam, said it was clear that Governor Wike had taken the state to greater heights, adding that the APC should stop peddling lies against the state government.
He said, “It is honourable to say the truth and to admit guilt. Rather than admit that Governor Wike has properly utilized the lean internally generated revenue and federal allocation, the APC leaders prefer to distort facts and malign the performing governor.
“I, therefore, call on leaders of APC, to desist from peddling falsehood, causing crisis and disaffection.”
