The Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Today Friday 8th September 2017 at the National Secretariat of Assemblies Of God Nigeria held a Retirement Service in Honour of Rev Dr Joseph Mabogunje who has Served as Education Director of Assemblies Of God Nigeria for 25Years(1992-2017).
Rev Joseph Mabogunje born on the 19th of December 1947 at Ibadan Oyo sate Studied at the Then Western Bibile College now called Southwest Advanced School Of Theology Iperu Ogun State graduating in 1977.
He began to serve Full time in Assemblies Of God Nigeria as a Crusader,Church Planter and Bible Teacher.
The Administration of Retired General Superintendent Rev Dr Charles Osueke sighted his diligence and hardwork at the Nigerain Advanced School Of Theology Ewu in Edo State,paving way for his appointment as the Director of Education Assemblies Of God.
Dr Mabogunje Served as Education Director in Three Administrative Terms: Rev Dr Charles Osueke,Rev Dr Paul Emeka and now retiring under the Administration of Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor.
One of the notable achievements of Dr Mabogunje while he held sway as Education Director was that he pushed for the enhancement of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Teachers Welfare and Salaries evidently testified by Rev Prof Okpara INWOROGU,The President of Assemblies Of God Divinity School of Theology Old Umuahia .
In his citation,Rev Dr Godswill Israel who is now the current Director Of Education Assemblies Of God Nigeria described Rev JOSEPH Mabogunje as an Education Jeuggannut.
Speaking from the book of Acts Chapter 4:15,General Superintendent Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Chidi Okoroafor said that Life is a stage,which one bows out after Performing.
“I know that Life is a Stage,after Performing you bow out,In ministry there are three stages:Years Of Beginning,Years Of Popularity and Fading Away Years”
“While our father was on stage,People were watching and Recording him,and today they are testifying of his Excellent Performance”
The GS reminded Leaders that every office has an Expiry Date which must expire either by Age,Retirement or Circumstances of Removal

Presenting the Toyota Highlander Car to Dr Mabogunje,General Superintendent Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor said the Executive Committee understood the importance of Mobility and has Purchased the Toyota Highlander Car to help him move within his limit can carry and that a Token different from his retirement benefits was also presented to him.
