Abia State House of Assembly has announced receipt of a Petition over the abandonment of the Umuahia Ultra-Modern Motor Parks by Transport Operators and Commercial Drivers in the State Capital.
The Chairman Abia State House of Assembly Committee on Public Petitions and member Representing Obingwa West Constituency at the Assembly Hon Barr .A.C Thomas Nkoro said the petitioners are also praying the State House of Assembly to make a Law banning Individuals from renting their Buildings and Compounds as Motor Park to Transport Operators.
PUO REPORTS gathered that the petition written by Paul B.O.U Nigeria Limited wants the Abia State House of Assembly to immediately intervene in other to ensure that the Umuahia Ultra-Modern Motor Park built by Former Governor Theodore Orji’s led administration is effectively put in Use.
The Petitioners particular urged the Assembly to take appropriate Steps which is in line with the Abia State House of Assembly Law No 7 of 2009
