The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udoh Ekpenyong, has been relieved of his portfolio.
The state government announced this in a statement signed on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Charles Udoh.
While no reason was given for Ekpenyong’s sack, Udoh said Governor Udom Emmanuel made a ‘minor cabinet reshuffle’.
“The government of Akwa Ibom State thanks Honourable Ekpenyong for his services to the state while serving as a member of the State Executive Council and wishes him well in his future endeavours,” the statement read.
