Abia State Government Should Caution the Management of Abia State University Uturu
The Vice Chancellor of Abia State University Prof Eleazar Ikonne and the entire Management of that institution must be called to order by the Government of Abia State.
It is an act of Fraud,Criminality and a Betray of Trust for the Management of Abia State University to deceive Prospective Students who are applying to be trained in Various Disciplines by the University.
In September 2017,the University through its Registrar announced the sale of POST UME form for 2017/2018 academic Session for N5,000 instead of the Warning by JAMB for Schools not to charge more than N3000 for the said Form.
That is not even the Issue, the University criminally went Further to announce that they were following the Federal Government approved Cut off of 120 and called on those Who chosed ABSU as First and Second Choice and those who did not choose the School as either First or Second Choice but Scored up to 120 in JAMB to come forward and Purchase the 2017 POST UME Form.
From Findings it was Revealed that the Screening committee set up by the Management of the School had pegged ABSU Cut off for 160 while Professional Courses like LAW,MEDICINE and Surgery,Accounting,Nursing Science were pegged at 200.
While didn’t the Registrar of ABSU explain this to Prospective Students in her POST UME PressRelease instead of Criminally extorting Money from them while already having a Pre-determined AGENDA.
You told them your Cut off for 2017 was 120 while your Cut off was 160,this is bad and the State House of Assembly should summon the Vice Chancellor to explain why the University should toe this line.
I had put up a call to LOVE FM in Umuahia where the Abia State Commissioner for Education Prof Ikechi Mgbeoji was featured this morning to ask Why,although he Condemend the act by ABSU but I expect the State Government to caution the School not to repeat it in 2018.
Instead of extorting Money from Prospective Students, explain to them your Decision regarding the Cut off Mark.
