The Lawmaker Representing Ahoada East Constituency 2 at the Rivers State House of Assembly Hon Ehie Ogerenye Edison on Friday 2nd of February 2018 escaped Death after a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Legal Adviser of the Party in the State Barr Ben Eke stabbed him at the forehead with a Bear Bottle.
The Ugly incident PUO REPORTS Exclusively gathered happened at about 9:26 pm at the Port Harcourt Residence of the Senator Representing Rivers West Senatorial District Senator Osinakachukwu Ideozu, during a stakeholders meeting convened by the Senator to discuss the replacement of the CTC Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government after the expiration of term of the previous Chairman last Wednesday.
Investigations by PUO REPORTS Revealed that trouble started after Hon Edison made a statement urging the Party Leaders to accept the decision of the largest number of stakeholders in the Issue which is usually the normal thing in the PDP,but his statement did not go down well with Barr Ben Eke the State Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Rivers State who is nursing a Chairmanship ambition.
It was gathered that Barr Ben Eke who has always been on the opposing side with the Senators views, knowing fully well that the decision of the largest number of stakeholders present won’t favour him, launched the attack on the Lawmaker and stabbed him with a “Brandy Bottle”.
Hon Ehie Edison is presently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Portharcourt.
Sources revealed that the venue of the meeting was filled with blood after the ugly violent act.
Ben Eke an Indigene of Ihuowo Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area has been severally accused by his Follow Party Men of Sponsoring thugs on the Leaders of PDP in Ahoada East Local Government Area.
Efforts to Reach the Lawmaker proved abortive as he did not attend to calls nor returned a text messages sent to his Line as of the time of filling in this Report.
