Senate President Dr Abubakar Bulorlar Saraki has urged the Leadership of the All Progressive Congress(APC) to reconcile the waring factions of the party in Rivers State.
He said if the party is factionalized in there is no way the All Progressive Congress(APC) will come out Victorious in the 2019 General Elections in Rivers State.
Speaking today in Portharcourt at the thanksgiving rally organised by Lawmakers elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress held at the Polo Club Field in Portharcourt the Rivers State Capital,the Senate President wondered why some members of the party fixed a pararell rally in Bori,Khana Local Government Area of the State.
Saraki described Senator Magnus Abe as a Loyal Party Man whom he said without him,some persons wont be in Buhari’s Government as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
“Magnus Abe is my friend, he is my friend, he is very humble and doesn’t blow his trumpet! Abe contributed greatly to the formation of the APC we all enjoy today! The number and caliber of senators here today, all through I entered the Senate, I have never seen, it has never happened! Magnus contributed greatly for this party! If not for Magnus, I know there are people today that won’t be in the cabinet today! Chairman of APC Rivers State, you have alot of work to do! There can’t be two APC meetings in Rivers State today! What is bad is bad! We must say the truth! Magnus, continue to build the party, the Senate is in support of you! You’re loyal, humble, faithful, honest! Thank you all for supporting Magnus! Senator Magnus Abe said he was suprised that Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi the Minister of Transportation fixed another event same date with the Thanksgiving after being Invited
“I have no apologies for inviting the governor of Rivers State here. It wouldn’t have been fair that we have all these delegations here without having the governor of Rivers State! I also invited the Minister For transportation and it is unfortunate that he has another meeting in bori. I personally invited all our party chieftains and I must thank the party chairman of the state for coming, he has shown maturity! I invited everyone here today to thank them for their efforts”.
