Rev Evang Isunguyo Eshiet has been re-elected as the Calabar District Superintendent.
Rev Eshiet was re-elected today at the 8th Triennial Council held at Assemblies Of God Church 31 Ndidem Usang Iso Road Calabar,Cross Rivers State.
Before the Commencement of the Election,the Current Assistant District Superintendent Rev Theodore Effiong steppeddown from the Election.
Rev Isunguyo Eshiet polled a Total number of 171 Votes out of 232 Eligible Voters at the Nominating Ballot.
The Council Meeting which was Presided over by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria and Assisted by Rev Bawa Gadima had in attendance some District Superintendents from Neighbouring Units and Some Director’s of the General Council.
Speaking from the Books of Haggai 2:9 and Titus 1:5 the General Superintendent illustrated the Functions of Thermometer and Themosters.
“We are not looking for Thermometers who will keep on announcing the Coldness of the Church,We are looking for Pastors who will bring Revival to the Cold Church”
“Angels will not make things happen,it is human beings that God will use to make them Happen”
“Blessed is that Constituency,blessed is that Section that will have Thermosters as Leaders”

The General Superintendent challenged Leaders in Calabar District to be among the Leaders who make things Happen.
