Rev Ijigu Linus Has been re-elected as the Ogoja District Superintendent at the 28th Triennial Council Meeting of the District presided over by the General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor.
The Council Meeting held at Assemblies Of God Seminary Anyikang,Ogoja Cross Rivers State had in attendance Rev John Agev the Assistant Presiding officer, some neighboring Unit Heads among others.
Speaking from the Book of Haggai 2:9 (Key verse of the General Council for the Year 2018) the General Superintendent said the glory of God shall not allow the work of God to Scatter.
“Thus Says the Lord, the Glory of the Later House, the Glory of the later temple shall be greater than the Former, the Spectacle we are putting on is to see Greater heights.
“If you are running a race, immediately you look behind ,people will overtake you”
“The Days of Politics are crumbling, crude Politics are crumbling, in Assemblies Of God Nigeria, your Ministry is what will sale you, if you wangle through the backyard to get into an Office,at the end of the Day,the Office will no longer determine the Church you will Pastor “

The District Superintendent Rev Ijigu Linus in his report listed the Spiritual Upliftment,Infrastructural development and Ministers welfare package which the Council Chairman appreciated the District Presbytery for their Visionary Leadership
At the Second Elective Ballot Rev Linus Ijigu Polled 193 Votes from the Total Number 269 Eligible Voters comprising of 118 Ordained Ministers,57 Licensed Ministers,29 Exhorters and 75 Delegates to be Re-elected
