Rotary club international has extolled Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, for his milestone achievements and effort towards repositioning Abia state.
Speaking during a familiarization visit to the Governor at the Government House Umuahia earlier today, the Rotary District 9142 Governor, Dr. Dan Ajawara applauded the commitment, passion and determination to transform Abia state by Governor Ikpeazu, who also is an active member of the club. He said the club is proud of the Governor.
Ajawara who led a delegation of Rotary club members, said they came to identify with the Governor and Government of Abia state, noting that Abia is the first point of call because a ‘Rotarian is on throne.’
He further sought the Governor’s support for their numerous projects.
Reacting, the visibly elated Governor Ikpeazu commended the club for their unwavering commitment to bettering the lots of many, adding that Rotary club is like a family to him. He assured them of his unalloyed support.
Highlight of the visit includes the adorning of the Governor with an inspiration pin as a mark of recognition of his many inspiring leadership qualities.
