The General Council Assemblies Of God Nigeria today laid to Rest the Late Retired Assistant General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Late Rev Dr Franklyn Ukomah.
The Burial took place at Asa Amuhi Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State.
It had in attendance the Cream De LA Cream of the Apex Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Including the General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor and his Wife Rev Mrs Stella Chidi Okoroafor, Assistant General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Pst Ejikeme Ejim and His Wife Rev Mrs Victoria Ejim, General Secretary Rev Dr Godwin Amaowoh and his Wife Pst Mrs Comfort Amaowoh, General Treasurer Rev Dr Vincent Alaje and Wife Rev Mrs Julie Alaje, Retired General Superintendent Rev Dr Charles Osueke, Retired General Secretary Rev John Ikoni, Retired General Treasurer Rev Isangadighi, current Executive Committee Members, Unit Heads, Families, Community Leaders among others.
The Late Rev Dr Franklyn Ukomah was born on July 25 1941 to the Family of Mr Emmanuel Akwaraonwu Ukomah and Adaline Nwada Ukomah of Asa Amauhi Asa Amaise Community, Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State.
Rev Ukomah enrolled in the then Central Bible College and Institute Old Umuahia in February 1967.
Speaking at the Burial, the Retired General Superintendent Rev Charles Osueke said the Late Papa Ukomah was a Trusted Colleague who never betrayed the Trust till he left Office
“For my 22Years in Office, he was my Assistant for 18years, what cut it short was that he decided on his Own to to Retire, I pleaded with him but he said it was a Decision he took long ago”
“Anybody seeing the way we work, may think we have known ourselves for long, but the Truth about it is that he Knew me before I Knew Him”
“The Late Ukomah worked with me as a Brother, he never betrayed me, he confided in me even Family Matters, we Never Betrayed Each Other”
“When people came to me to say that am Making mistake by sending Ukomah to Council Meetings because he was selling himself to the people, I told them of the People see him as a Better material, let the Choose him, and I will Assist him”
“He was A man that is Trusted, I wish that every District Superintendent will have an Assistant like him” He Said.
The General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor who Spoke at the Burial said the Late Pa Ukomah was his Teacher in the Bible School.
“We bless the name of the Lord that Today we have come to say Goodbye to our Father, God’s General”
“I am Privileged to preside the burial of the man who taught me Theology 2 in the Diploma”
Speaking from the Book of Psalm 144:3-4 the General Superintendent said man is like a Passing Shadow
“Every one here is like a passing Shadow, no Permanency”
“No Matter how Value somebody may be, If you die, if I Die, the Church, the World will still move Forward”
“Nobody has an agreement or Contract, the Day he will Die”
“Death is common Junction, wether you are a Pastor or a Member, you must Die, Nobody can say what our Late Father has done, but the Caller will Reward” He Said.
The General Treasurer of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Vincent Alaje Chaired the General Council Central Planning Committee for the Burial which held Successfully held today.
The Retired General Superintendent Rev Dr Charles Osueke prayed for the Ukomah’s Family.
