The Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria today Collapsed Ikwerre West Area back to Ikwerre District of the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria.
The General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor who announced the Decision of the Executive Committee today at Assemblies Of God Church Agip Road Portharcourt the Rivers State Capital at a Meeting between the Defunct Ikwerre West Area and Ikwerre South District.
In his Devotional, Rev Prince Emeaba the Executive Committee Member Representing South East Zone 1 Spoke from the Book of Genesis 44:32- 34 on the Topic “Please Make Us One”
According to Rev Emeaba, a Labourer must have his limit and should check his activities.
“The main Reason Jesus Came is to make us One, and for anybody to be an instrument of oneness, that person must be a real Born again Child of God”
“Even If the Church grow and it is Splitted into Ten Segments, we are one Body” He Said.
Dr Okoroafor said the Cry of Pastors who were Suffering in the now collapsed Ikwerre West Area neccesiteded the Move of the Executive Committee
“We are here this afternoon to convey and Execute the Decision of the Executive Committee of Assemblies Of God Nigeria that sat 3,4,and 5 September 2018”
“I have been greatly Disturbed by the cries and groanings of Innocent Pastors in Ikwerre West Area and I had waited for the due Process and the due Process has Come”
“We are here on behalf of the entire Executive Committee, it is no more news that you know that Ikwerre South District was Divided and they gave birth to Ikwerre West Area, We set Panels and upon Panels, let me say this that Assemblies Of God Is a Global Family”
“Application for Creation is Healthy but Deceit is unhealthy,it takes the Executive Committee to reserve its Decision, the Future of Assemblies Of God Nigeria is higher than Personal Ambition”
“From our Research, Ikwerre South is Constitutional ripe for Division, but the Executive Committee has decided to correct the evidence mistake emanating from the Creation of Ikwerre West Area”
“We are Going to Merge the Two Units With Immediate Effect”
Invoking the Doctrine of Necessity and through the Leading of the Holy Spirit , the General Superintendent said the Chairman of Ikwerre West Counseling Commitee will be a “Special Member” of the Joint Ikwerre South District.
He said the Executive Committee Will come up at the fullness of Time to create a New Unit from Ikwerre South District but the decision lies at the table of the Executive Committee of Assemblies Of God Nigeria.
He Urged the Members of the Collapsed Area not to be afraid because everybody will be accommodated.
Rev Dr Abel Amadi, Rev P K Emeaba, Rev Emmanuel Udoaka and Rev Living Joshua were the Executive Committee Members who accompanied the General Superintendent.
