Imo State Governor and the Chairman Of All Progressives Governors’ Forum, Gov. Anayo Okorocha has revealed that APC will lose the 2019 elections in Imo State.
The statement came after the APC Chairman, Adams Oshomole announced the adoption of Senator Uzodimma as the party’s candidate for the state.
Gov Okorocha who have earlier threatened to dump the ruling party, if his preferred Governorship candidate and son-in-law, Uche Nwosu is denied ticket released this bombshell in response to APC’ humiliation of his ambition.
Governor Okorocha who never hide his anger over the emergence of Senator Uzodimma as the party flag bearer, vowed to leave the party to taste the bitterness of defeat in the coming election. According to him, it will be good to allow Adams Oshomole and his cohorts to come here and do the magic since, he has collude with Saboteurs to deny my son Inlaw his deserved ticket.
The Governor made this disclosure during the swearing in of new Commissioners in the state at Nicks Banquet Hall, Government House, Owerri.
The two time Governor also vowed to dump President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election since they have finally carried out the plan and drop his son-in-law in the 2019 governorship election.
According to him, President Buhari cannot win any election in the South East geo-political zone in particular and Nigeria at large in 2019 without his contribution, since they have subverted his choice candidate, he believes it would be counter productive to the party in the state.
The Governor has never hidden his boast, that if not by his personal recognition and connection, President Buhari would not have been allowed into the South East to canvass for vote, let alone winning the general election in 2015.
He therefore promised President Buhari, Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiemole and members of the National Working Committee of the ruling party to wait and see if the party would not record total failure in 2019.
Governor Okorocha while charging the new Commissioners to inject their wealth of experience to ensure the development of the state, further told them to remain calm and wait for any possible directive from him now that the party has failed to give Uche Nwosu Governorship ticket.
Meanwhile, Adviser to Governor Okorocha on Electoral Matters, Barrister Steve Asinobi has continued to taunt the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole over what he called ‘watch and see’ plan since they have connived to relegate his boss politically, describing him as a big disappointment to the party.
Barr Asinobi said with his boss son-in-law, Uche Nwosu now denied party ticket, their followers would not hesitate to destroy APC not only in Imo State but the entire South East.
Earlier Barr Asinobi warned APC during his media outing on a live TV and Radio programmes on AIT and Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) recently where he, Barr Asinobi threatend of APC becoming history in the state if Uche Nwosu’s name is expunged as Governorship candidate of the party in 2019.
