Independent National Electoral Commission has released date and List of candidates for the by-elections in Katsina, Bauchi, Kwara and Cross River State.
This was disclosed in a statement released on their official tweeter handle.
It be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission issued the timetable and schedule the activities for the bye-elections in Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa Federal Constituency of Katsina State, Toro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, Ekiti/Irepodun/isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State and Ikom II State Constituency of Cross State 29th October, 2018.
By the said Timetable and Schedule of Activities, the 4th of November, 2018 was set as the last day for the conduct of primaries by the political parties to select their candidates for the said constituencies, in accordance with Section 87 of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended).
In the same Timetable and Schedule of Activities, the last day for the submission of Forms CF001 and CF002 was 6thNovember 2018.
As at the close of nomination, the following political parties submitted their lists of candidates (CF002) and their personal particulars (CF001).
These bye-elections will hold as scheduled on 17th November, 2018.
