Shehu Sani, the lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly has called on the federal government to apologise to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The senator said this while reacting to the controversy that followed the search carried out by immigration operatives when Atiku returned from Dubai on Sunday, November 11.
Atiku had claimed that he was intimidated by security operatives on his return back to the country.
Sani consequently condemned the action of the security personnel and described it as overzealous.
“The overzealous acts of the security personnel at the Abuja Airport against the former Vice President Atiku stands out rightly condemned. We have been through this in our history.
“Intimidation and harassment camouflaged as routine. The FG should be humble and apologize to him.”
