*LOVERS OF VIOLENCE SHOULD LEAVE AKWA IBOM STATE ALONE*
We the members of Abak 5 Elders condemn in very strong terms the attempts by enemies of the ever peaceful Akwa Ibom State to undermine the peace Governor Udom Emmanuel has earned for us through selfless and determined effort; painstakingly and intelligently pursued.
The hallowed chambers of the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly is not a comedians rehearsal or training auditorium. Therefore, the orders from the hallowed chambers led by the respectable honorable speaker Barr. Onofiok Luke must be enforced completely and absolutely.
We commend very highly, the timely intervention of Governor Udom Emmanuel to protect and defend the peace he has earned painstakingly for the people of Akwa Ibom state.
We urge him not to relent no matter the distractions from lovers of violence and the proponents of “Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw” But the proponents refuse to remember the end of the Warsaw episode. Where is the grave of Hitler if the corpse was ever found? Big question.
In addition we congratulate the speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Barr. Onofiok Luke for the mature manner he handled the situation to shame the devil.
We also commend Governor Udom Emmanuel once again for the honour done the father of the new Akwa Ibom, the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Arc.( Obong) Victor Attah, an honor well deserved, by naming the Akwa Ibom international Airport after him.
He did not only design the foundation of modern Akwa Ibom, he built it and defended our rights through the resource control war he fought and won. We are now enjoying that fruits of his labour.
Finally, we concur with and reiterate the demand of Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, our amiable performing Governor for the redeployment of the Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo and Head of the QRS Akwa Ibom State command. The people of the state have spoken- the youths, women, Elders and Traditional Rulers. You cannot protect people who do not trust you nor have confidence in you. That trust once broken the pieces, cannot be put together again.
We hope relevant authorities have noted this and will promptly take action for the sake of continuous maintenance of the hard earned peace we are enjoying in the state.
