The security infractions along the East-West Road in Rivers State is part of the plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to generate insecurity in the state, Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke has said.
Speaking during the Ward to Ward Campaign of the PDP at Elele-Alimini in Emohua Local Government Area on Sunday, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke said with the number of military and police checkpoints on the Emohua axis of that route, there should be no security infractions.
He said: “Who said it is not because APC want to create a state of insecurity in Rivers state? Count from Elele to Alimini how many check point do you pass from here to that place, so how come every day there is one incident. or the other along the road.
“When you have over ten police and army checkpoints including armored tank on the east west road, it is surprising these things still happen”
While thanking the youths of Elele-Alimini for the peace in their community, he said all communities must work hard to promote security.
He said: “We have excelled politically and we have to excel in other ways.We have to be sure and secure our local government so that we will not send away investors. What the APC is doing is to frustrate us and stop us from moving forward. We reject that plan.”.
The Rivers Governor’s Chief of Staff called on the people to work for the victory of all PDP candidates. He urged them to continue preaching to attract the remaining APC members in the area.
Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Chief Tom Aliezi declared that the people of the area will support all PDP candidates during the forthcoming elections. He said that Governor Wike is loved by the people because he has executed key projects for them.
