Senior Pastor of the Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Gospel, Pastor Adewale Giwa has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu to resign with immidiate effect for postponing the presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to hold today.
Giwa, in a statement to DAILY POST, expressed disappointment over the decision of INEC to shift the date.
Mahmood had said the postponement would afford the commission the opportunity to address identified challenges in order to maintain the quality of the nation’s elections.
However, the clergyman faulted the claim of Mahmood, saying, “This shows that the INEC boss is not competent to give Nigerian best general elections.
“The commission had released the timetable since January 2018. Are they telling us they could not have faced challenges with the billions of Naira released to them?
“This is ridiculous, and they should know that the whole world is looking at them. God will take control of the nation.”
