The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Dr Barry Barinada Mpigi has won the seat for Rivers South-East Senatorial Election.
The Returning officer, Prof E. C. Imum, who announced the results at the collation center, said that Mpigi of the Peoples Democratic Party polled a total of 247,182 votes to defeat his opponent.
According to the Returning officer, Martin Lenebari of ACD scored 980 votes to come second.
