A Kano state Federal high court, on Monday, nullified the candidature of Abba Yusuf, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the state.
The court cancelled the primaries election that led to Yusuf’s Emergence. Presiding Justice, Allagoa Lewis, ruled that the party did not conduct any primaries hence the candidature of Yusuf was ‘Null and Void’.
Although the PDP is yet to officially respond, this development has caused confusion within the party.
PoliticsNGR gathered that the entire issue began after a PDP gubernatorial aspirant in the same Kano state, Amin-little Ali, approached the court to investigate and challenge the circumstances around Yusuf’s Emergence.
