The Independent National Electoral Commission had said that, Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha will not be joining other senator-elects to receive their certificates of return tomorrow, Tuesday March 12, 2019 because he (Okorocha) secured his mandate as Senator-Elect under duress which the law frowns at.
INEC said only those whose names are listed in their website will be given their certificate of return. Okorocha’s name was clearly omitted in the name website with the inscription Imo West (under duress) boldly written in the website short listed.
Okorocha Son-in-law, Uche Nwosu is equally facing the herculean task of winning the 2019 Imo governorship election, loosing to the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Hon Emeka Ihedioha as result from INEC collation office ongoing now in Owerri, the Imo State capital indicates, show Ihedioha leading with wide margin.
For the out going governor, INEC noted that He was declared winner for Orlu Zone senatorial district race under duress.
