Maurizio Sarri had to be sent off by referee Kevin Friend during Chelsea’s 2-2 stalemate with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
According to ESPN’s sources, Sarri was extremely agitated because of repeatedly being called ‘S**T ITALIAN’ by the members of Burnley coaching staff.
The Chelsea head coach has now been charged with misconduct by the FA and has until 6 p.m. on Friday to respond to the charges as the FA also conducts further investigations into other incidents that happened that day.
Chelsea and Burnley are both likely to be charged for inability to control their players and staff while some members of the Clarets dugout risk severe repercussions if found guilty of abusing Sarri.
