Barely 48hours after Some Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State announced the endorsement of a Former Governor of Abia State now Senator Elect for Abia North Dr Orji Uzor Kalu for The Position of the Deputy Senate President and Hon Nkeiruka Onyejeocha for the House of Representatives Speakership, a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in the State Chief Amobi Ogah has advised the Party to go for one out of the two Sensitive Positions.
PUO REPORTS recalled that some Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia had on Sunday met and formaĺly for the Deputy Senate President Seat.
The meeting, which took place at Camp Neya, the country home of Kalu in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia, also endorsed Rep. Nkiru Onyejeocha, representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, for the Speakership of the House of Representatives.
The endorsement followed a motion moved at the meeting by Sen. Chris Adighije, the Abia APC caucus leader.
But reacting to the Endorsement, Chief Amobi Ogah said the action of some Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress in Abia State has shown that some of the Party Leaders will ridicule the Abia APC before other Chapters of the Party in the Country.
Addressing a Press Conference in Umuahia on Tuesday, the APC Chieftain said it was “unreasonable for the Leadership of the Party in Abia State to ask for two things at a Time.
” Count Me Out of that Purported Endorsement on Sunday, I cannot be part of such an unreasonable decision ”
“How can One Party in One State be Asking for Two Sensitive National Assembly Positions at a Time?”
Chief Amobi Ogah advised the Leadership of the APC in Abia State to have a rethink over its hasty Decision of Endorsing two Members for Two Principal Positions at the National Assembly.
“I want to Appeal to the Leadership of our Great Party in the State to have a rethink over such Purported Endorsement, they have to do that before the Inauguration of the 9th Assembly because a Man cannot be asking for Two Things at a Time” He Said
