Governor Udom Emmanuel has approved the suspension of Dr. Valentine Attah, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Local Government Service Commission from office.
This is contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem.
The release cites Dr. Attah’s involvement in an unauthorised recruitment of persons into the Unified Local Government Service.
Attah’s suspension “takes immediate effect, pending the outcome of the State audit on the recruitment exercise.
“Appointments of those who benefited from the said recruitment are hereby declared null and void”, the statement added.
