Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, this afternoon, swore in the new Secretary to State Government, Barrister Chris Ezem with a charge to him to justify his selection which is a product of merit, hard work and a solid track record of professionalism and people centrism.
Welcoming him formally to the State Executive Council, The Governor asked him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the workings of government to ensure seamless administrative excellence.
The oath of office was administered on him by the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Enyinnaya Okezie, Esq.
The new Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Chris Ezem thanked the Governor for finding him fit and proper for this huge assignment and assured him that the confidence is not misplaced.
“We will add value to governance and focus exclusively on your vision for our dear State. We shall be enablers to help drive your vision”. So said the new SSG.
Barrister Chris Ezem is from Ubakala in Umuahia South and the event drew a cross section of political leaders from the Local Government including a former National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Vincent Eze Ogbulafor, pioneer Chairman of the PDP in Abia State, Chief Tony Ukasoanya, etc.
The mother of the new SSG, Mrs Ezem was also in the delegation.
