The Group FRESH AGENDA, RIVERS AND NIGERIA (FARN) said it’s attention has been drawn to a war of mediocrity championed by some Niger Delta sons who wish to scuttle the good administrative prowess which the current management of NDDC,led by a renowned academician,Prof. Nelson Brambraifa as Acting Managing Director, Dr. Chris Oyirinda Amadi as Acting Executive Director of Finance and Administration.
The Group accused the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike,Former Governor of Bayelsa State Timipre Sylva Former Senator Representing Rivers South East Senator Magnus Abe as brain behind the Blackmail against the Leadership of NDDC.
A Statement signed by Comr. Ohochukwu Peter on behalf of the group and made available to PUO REPORTS, the group said other Niger Delta Sons and Daughters is solidly behind the Leadership of the NDDC.
The Groups Statement is coming following Rumours that the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) is probing the Current Management of the NDDC.
“This blackmail which from our findings is championed by the Current Governor of Rivers State,Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike,Senator Magnus Ngei Abe and a former Governor of Bayelsa state,Timipri Sylva”
“Our group wish to advice and also send an important message to this conspirators that their plot of spreading falsehood to EFCC about the current management of NDDC has been uncovered and to assure them that our group and other youth groups in Niger Delta will stand firmly behind the current management of the commission to explain the benefits which the commission have made that the people in the region enjoy and we will to the best of our knowledge give explanations on how abandoned infrastructures by both State and Federal government have been completed and maintained by the criticized management of the commission”
“We also wish to state here that the EFCC is a Federal Agency saddled with responsibilities of ensuring prudence in the management of public funds, therefore NDDC as an agency of government cannot be above the law”
“Lest we forget,Senator Abe,Gov Wike and Former Gov Sylva had slept days in EFCC cell, so there is nothing new about the probe if any” the Group said.
