The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) yesterday urged Ndigbo to disregard the claim by the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB that South East governors had resolved to donate lands for the Ruga policy, describing it as a big joke.
In a statement in Abakaliki yesterday, POYC president, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said the report was geared at upsetting the prevailing peace in the region.He stated that the body had carried out an independent investigation by interviewing traditional rulers, town union presidents and youths from the affected areas with the findings turning out negative.
Isiguzoro insisted that Governors Okezie Ikpeazu and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Abia and Enugu states were not saboteurs as alleged by IPOB.
