A final year student of Electrical Engineering of the Cross Rivers State University of Technology CRUTECH, named James was shot dead this morning at about 11.30am shortly after he finished his final year first semester examination.
He was said to have been stepping out of the examination hall when he was attacked by some fierce looking men who shot him three times but the bullet didn’t enter him, so they decided using machete to kill him.
After killing the final year student the fierce men fled the scene immediately.
Some Students of the institution who spoke to us believe it is a cult-related murder.
The remains of the deceased has been taken to the state mortuary.
