The Independent National Electoral Commission has issued a Certificate of Return to Imo North senator- elect, Benjamin Uwajumogu.
The development was after Uwajumogu had led a protest at INEC’s office in Abuja demanding his Certificate of Return from the electoral umpire.
A federal High court in Abuja had ordered INEC to issue Uwajumogu a Certificate of Return having been declared the winner of the Imo North senatorial election.
INEC had refused to issue him the Certificate of Return which resulted in a protest.
Uwajumogu who received his Rertificate of Return on Thursday in Abuja was accompanied by his political allies.
