The Rivers State Police Command on Thursday bursted a criminal hideout in Odido Community in Ahoada West LGA and recovered three assorted military riffles.
The State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Omoni Nnamdi, who confirmed this to newsmen, said the weapons were recovered during a sting operation led by the DPO of Akinima Police Station, SP Bako Angbashim.
Omoni said that the recorvered weapons the kidnappers took away from some military men (Operation Delta Safe) from Bayelsa, who were unfortunately killed, during a similar operation in the month of May this year.
He said the state police command is committed to stamping out crime and criminality in the state and appealed to members of the public to volunteer useful information to the police.
