…Hails Buhari for his unflinching trust in Amaechi…Sets fresh targets for the Minister of Transportation
The reappointment of the Minister of Transportation, Dr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, by President Muhammadu Buhari, has been described as a sign of seriousness of the administration to revolutionise the nation’s transportation sector.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, who stated this is a statement issued and circulated in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, noted that the Minister, who is the leader of the APC in the oil-rich region, had severally been adjudged as the shining star of the Buhari administration, adding that his reappointment had underscored the trust and closeness between him and the President, considering the level of opposition raised against him.
Eze who worked assiduously with others to ensure the reappointment of the Minister by stoutly fighting some divisive elements who were hellbent on frustrating his reappointment as a Ninister, praised and commended President Buhari immensely for his firm belief, trust and confidence in Amaechi and “for not minding some of these opposing elements that never meant any good for this nation based on their shortsightedness and myopic political mind”.
He further described the return of Amaechi as a divine arrangement, considering the fierce opposition mounted by a group of people who have constituted themselves into a needless opposition, saying “these conscienceless mortals vowed to pull down a man adjudged to be the best performing cabinet member in the first term of President Mohammadu Buhari. Amaechi’s reappointment puts to shame all professional naysayers and smear campaigners who do not mean well for the country.
“It would have been a disaster of huge proportion, resulting to a cosmic disaster and celebration in the satanic realm if Amaechi was not reappointed, considering his divine double anointing spirit. This is a man who was a two time Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, two time Chairman, Conference of Speakers, two time Governor of Rivers State, two time Chairman of Governors Forum, two time Director General of President Buhari’s Campaign Organisation. His not being reappointed as a two term Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would have rubbished this divine set up in the life of this enigma, whose true mission in Nigeria is yet to be unveiled”, Eze retorted.
Chief Eze, a Media Consultant and vocal pro-APC voice in Nigeria, expressed optimism that the Transportation Minister is poised to provide exemplary leadership, especially in fast-tracking infrastructural transformation that will yield economic fillip, given his versatility, wealth of experience and leadership prowess.
To achieve his vision, mission and to demonstrate his seriousness in this dispensation Amaechi apart from offering free transportation to the staff under his Ministry moved to site few hours of his reappointment by monitoring the construction of Lagos – Ibadan Rail line and other projects under his Ministry. He even went further by exposing to Nigerians his email in which they can use to express and dictate how the Ministry can be ran to give Nigeria and Nigerians the desired visionary transportation system they want.
Eze quoted the Minister as saying, “What strategies do you think we can implement to deliver on our projects better and faster from the Railways to Maritime, Ports, Transportation Institutes and others. We are open to suggestions to enable us serve you better. Kindly send your opinions to this email – ‘chibuikeamaechi377@gmail.com’ and we will be glad to read and act on your suggestions accordingly”
Eze retorted that if this is not a sign of a man who wants to take Nigeria to the next level then he need to be educated on what else or step needed in this regard
While congratulating Amaechi, Eze further commended him for his steadfastness and patriotic spirit to make a difference in the governance of Nigeria pleaded with him not to relent to prove President Buhari right in his unflinching faith in his capacity to deliver as usual.
“In this regard, let me urge you to as a matter of urgency to give life to the following six key projects, which if implemented to the letter will mark you as the hero of this dispensation. These are projects already sanctioned and approved for execution by the Federal Executive Council during the last cabinet of President Buhari:
(1). The Kano-Katsina-Jibiya to Maradi in Niger Republic.
(2). The new standard gauge rail from Port Harcourt to Maiduguri passing through Enugu, Lafia, Makurdi, Gombe, with branches to Owerri, Onitsha, Awka, Abakaliki, Yola, Jalingo and Damaturu.
(3). The rest are extension of the Itapke-Aladja (Warri) to Abuja and Warri Port.
(4). The Development of Railway Industrial Park in Port Harcourt.
(5). And a Proposal for Railway connection to Bonny Island Deep Sea port from Port Harcourt.
(6). Revival the Calabar, Port Harcourt, Onne, Abonema, Onitsha and Warri Ports.
While thanking Amaechi for making himself available for yet another round of service for the nation, Eze prayed God to lead the Minister through the path of progress for the good of all.
He also assured him of his usual and unflinching support and solidarity as always.
