Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has assured that construction works would soon resume on the roads and other ongoing projects in the State.
Governor was speaking at Umuola Road, Aba, during the official opening of Real FM 99.1FM, a private radio station owned by Hon. Uche Ogbuagu, an entertainment expert. The Governor noted that work eould commence onsuch roads as Port Harcourt Road, Uratta Road and Ngwa Road as soon as dry season sets in. He said that just like he constructed Umuola, the location of the radio station, it is the same quality of road that he would deliver to the Aba people in those roads.
Dr. Ikpeazu who praised Hon. Uche Ogbuagu for investing in Aba, called on other investors to see Abia as a safe haven for investments and charged the management of the station to work in tandem with the regulations guiding the broadcasting.
Speaking, the Founder of the station, who also is a member representing Ikeduru State Constitutuency of Imo State, Hon. Uche Ogbuagu assured the Governor that his station would publicise his programmes.
He commended Governor Ikpeazu for promoting ‘Made-in-Aba’ products and for changing the narratives of Aba artisans. He appreciated the efforts of the Governor in agriculture, industry, security, trade and commerce and other developmental agenda of his administration and reminded him on the need to sustain his good works in the State, particularly in fixing some bad roads in Aba.
The Governor later undertook a facility tour of the station with the chief executive officer of the station, Hon. Uche Ogbuagu.
