The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, on Friday charged political stakeholders to always come up with programmes that will advance the cause of humanity in their localities.
The Speaker gave the charge while speaking at at an empowerment/scholarship award programme organised by CROMARIA CARE FOUNDATION held at Umuosu Central School, Umuosu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State, where bags of fertilizer were distributed to the people and scholarships awarded to secondary school students of the area.
“I want to thank our dear friend and brother, Dr Obioma Orji and his dear wife for this noble initiative.
“We have continued to win elections here because we have people like you and others doing what you are doing for the people.
“Education is Important and always better. The scholarships you have awarded these young ones today through your Foundation will surely go a long way in ensuring that they excel in their studies”, he said
The Speaker was accompanied to the function by the lawmaker representing Isialangwa North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Ginger Onwusibe.
The President of the Foundation, Dr Obioma Reuben Orji, in his speech said that the CROMARIA Foundation is all about advancement of the cause of humanity.
The Foundation awarded Scholarship to 10 Primary and Secondary Schools pupils and Presented fertilizers to the people of Ikputu, Umuodeghe, Ubaha, Umyode, Umueze, Ukwu, Mbubo and Umuogu in Umuosu Isialangwa North Local Government Area.
