The Acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Obingwa local Government Area, Hon. Chigozie Joshua, has commended the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Enyinnaya Appolos, for the grading of 10 rural roads, connecting 8 villages in Ward 3 area of Obingwa LGA of the state.
The Party Chieftain stated that Appolos has been exemplary in his service to the people of the area, the Governor and support to the party in the ward, Local government and state.
He described the former Chief Press Secretary to the Governor as one of the shining stars of the Governor Ikpeazu administration in Ward 3, Obingwa LGA and Abia State at large, and called on others to emulate him.
According to him, the roads so far graded are: Umuanunu- Isiko road, Umuokahia -Isiko road, Umuhuaba -Isiko road, Isiko -Nto Edino road, Umuokahia -Umuanunu road, Isiko -Ekwereazu Ngwa road, Ekwereazu Ngwa -Umunkiri road, Umunkiri -Umuopara Amuzu road and Umuanunu inner road.
Joshua said that Appolos has represented the interest of the Governor, government and the party through ensuring that the people at the rural areas benefit from the government.
“Our brother Enyinnaya Appolos has been exemplary in his service to our people and to the Governor. He has completed the grading of our rural roads. This year he graded 10 roads connecting 8 villages in Ward 3 and Akwa Ibom. Umuanunu, Umuokahia, Umuopra Amuzu, Umunkiri, Ekwereazu Ngwa, Umuhuaba, and Isiko villages in Ward 3 are the villages that benefited from the Appolos’s rural grading this year.
“He is not grading only roads, he has also been ensuring the welfare of leaders of the party in the ward and local government, and helping our people. Singlehandedly, he is building a civic centre for his kindred in Isiko. He is the major sponsor of the Isiko Day event. He is doing a lot to help the people, but Appolos is one person who will not want some of the things he is doing to be publicized. He is a good example of a silent achiever”, he said.
