The Deputy Minority Leader and Member Representing Bende North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Chukwu Chijioke has commended Promise Uzoma Okoro,the Special Assistant on Media to the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji for successfully Sponsoring and hosting a Unity Cup Competition tagged PUO UNITY CUP in his Community.
Speaking on Sunday at Alayi Central School Alayi where the Maiden Edition of PUO UNITY CUP held, Hon Chijioke commended the Special Assistant on Media to the Speaker on his passion of seeking activities that seeks to unite the Youths.
The Lawmaker commended the Youths of Alayi over their peaceful disposition and conduct throughout the match between Akoliufu and Amankalu Alayi which ended in a Penalty Shoot out.

‘’That PUO brought out N250,000 to host this cup does not mean that he has Millions with him but to me this is a reflection of the fact that our youths can actually think about the unity and progress of their people’’

On his Part,the Sponsor of the Competition Promise Uzoma Okoro who is popularly known as PUO while handing over the Cash prize of N250,000 said the ideal behind the football competition was to foster unity and synergy among the Youths of Alayi.
He reiterated the fact that the competition was not a show off of anything but was for the unity, progress and happiness of the Youths of his Area.
The Youths on their part unianimously agreed that the UNITY CUP should be an annual event which the Sponsor accepted.
High Point of the event was the Presentation of the CUP by the Lawmaker Representing Bende North State Constituency Hon. Chukwu Chijioke to the Akoliufu Team who defeated the Amankalu Team 4-2 in a Penalty Shoot Out.
