The minister of state for mines and steel Dr Uche Ogah has asked Abians and Nigerian to pay any amount it requires to obtain peace for the sake of our
country.
This was revealed in his New Year Message to the press.
New Year is a time to take stock, a time to count our blessings and spare a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves and who have fallen on hard times.
He urged the people of the state to match into the new year with renewed hope despite the challenges confronting the nation. Ogah, in his New Year message, wished them a prosperous 2020 and urged them to use the new year to consolidate on the effort of government for a better Nigeria.
“I must confess that I will not look back on 2019 with unalloyed enthusiasm because 2020 is a year when we must redraw the picture of our perceived inability to which we have, hitherto presented to the outside world. It is a year when we must endeavour to reclaim our glory”.
I urge all Abians and Nigerians to embrace unity of purpose in the effort to deliver peace in this new year as a means of restoring our state and nation to global reckoning.
“We have sacrificed men and materials to keep other nations stable. Let us live together peacefully irrespective of of our ethnicity differences, imbibing the virtues of Christ.
May the new year bring you outstanding Breakthrough, progress and peace in Jesus name Amen.
