The Governor of Abia State has Directed the Vice Chancellor of the Abia State University Prof. Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne to announce the closure of the institution over rampaging dreaded Corona Virus.
Recall that the National Universities Commission had Directed all Tertiary Institutions in the Country to close their Campuses over the Corona Virus.
Governor Ikpeazu while Speaking to Journalist at the Abia State Tele Health Initiative Office on Saturday said the Governor will provide N10Million Naira for each Tertiary Institution in the State that can teach her Students Using Online Platforms.
“The government will assist tertiary institutions who are able to engage their students with online teaching and tutorial during the Covid school break, with the sum of ten million naira (#10,000,000) each”
