Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode wants to correct an impression after weighing Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari against Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike in terms of their alleged tyrannical tendencies.
As you know, Governor Wike, after an executive council meeting in Rivers, ordered the demolition of two hotels over the violation of coronavirus lockdown rules.
He has since defended his actions multiple times, the latest one saying “with all due respect I don’t regret my actions,” he insisted on AIT.
But that hasn’t stopped many from condemning him, including Fani-Kayode who had suggested the shutdown of the hotels and arrest of the violators.
Meanwhile, some Nigerians have already equated Wike’s action to alleged previous actions of President Buhari saying the two leaders are one and the same.
But Fani-Kayode thinks the comparison don’t match up.
In a tweet on Tuesday, he illustrated his claims by citing a fairy tale … saying Wike’s actions are like ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, depicting a little innocent girl while Buhari’s alleged tyrannical actions are likened to a Big Bad Wolf, which by the way devoured the little girl in the story.
He tweeted: “I do not support Wike’s demolition of hotels but comparing him to Buhari in terms of tyranny is like comparing Little Red Riding Hood to the wolf.
“Buhari is evil whilst Wike, for the better part of the last 10 years, has risked his life fighting evil, tyranny, and oppression.
