The Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has described his Edo State counterpart, Mr. Godwin Obaseki’s defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as a blessing to the party.
Okowa said this after meeting with leaders of the PDP at Government House in Benin City, ahead of the party’s June 25 primary election.
The Delta State governor said he was in the state to show solidarity with Governor Obaseki.
On his part, Governor Obaseki said his mission and vision for the PDP is to ensure he brings governance to the doorstep of Edo people.
“As the governor and leader of PDP in Edo State, my responsibility is to ensure PDP continues to enjoy victory in Edo State and in doing so, we are a united house.”
