The Governing Council of the Abia State University Uturu has announced that the Post of the Vice Chancellor of the University will be vacant effective December 1 2020.
The University in an Advertorial signed by Mr A.O Nkama, the acting Registrar of the Institution said the Council in performing its statutory duties as provided for in the University Edict, hereby invites interested distinguished academics with vast experience in University administration to send their application for the Position.
Some of the Criteria listed in the Advertorial included that the Applicant must have held Senior Administrative Positions in a University within 10 Years, be a Person of proven integrity, must be a Professor of not less than 5years as at December 1st 2020, must be capable of piloting the affairs of the University and coordinating it as a Professional University.
According to the Release dated June 24th 2020, the Application has Six weeks window from the date of the Publication.
Puo Reports gathered that the Tenure of the current Vice Chancellor Prof. Uchenna Ikonne will elapse on the 1st Day of December 2020.
