On Sunday evening Jose Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur manager, has reacted to his side’s 2-1 victory against Arsenal in the Premier League.
Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for Mikel Arteta’s men in the first half before Son Heung-min equalised for Spurs two minutes later.
Toby Alderweireld then scored a late second-half goal to give Mourinho’s men all three points against the Gunners.
Mourinho said his players did everything he asked them tactically and emotionally.
He also said that he was proud of his player’s performances against the visitors, adding that they now need to fight for the Europa League spot.
“The way the match was, everybody forgot that [about the less time to prepare],” Mourinho told a post-match press conference after the game.
“They did everything I asked of them tactically and also emotionally. They played the game as a fan.
“We spoke about it not being a game for the fans to enjoy. That’s very important. Now we can fight for a Europa League position, and I’m really proud of them.”
