GOVERNMENT HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has commiserated with the family of the late PDP State Chairman, Sir Johnson Onuigbo who passed on recently after a brief illness.
Speaking during a condolence visit to the bereaved family at their country home, Umuobasi, Ugba Ibeku, Umuahia North, the Governor expressed deed regret over the death of Sir Onuigbo.

He described the late PDP Chairman as a dedicated and committed party man, who contributed immensely to the growth of the party in the State and urged the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude, pointing out that God knows the best. He further urged the children to sustain the legacies of their father.

Responding on behalf of the family, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya thanked the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for coming to condole with them in their time of grief. He asked God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and grant them the heart to bear the loss.

The Governor later signed the Condolence Register.

The wife of the Late Chairman, Lady Uzoamaka Onuigbo and her children were present at the solemn visit.
