Award-winning singer, Wizkid in a recent reaction says the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) signals the dawn of a new Nigeria.
Mohammed Adamu, the inspector-general of police (IGP), had on Sunday dissolved the police unit after heated protests across the nation.

The music star also commended Nigerians who supported the #EndSARS campaign, urging them to dissipate similar energy in demanding good governance in the country.
“This is just the beginning!! We won our fight to #ENDSARS .. now Reform the Nigerian police!! #Endpolice brutality! We deserve good governance! #Endpolicebrutality,” he wrote.
“Now my people .. you see what our voices did…this is the beginning of a new Nigeria! Nigerian youths!! Know your rights and fight for it ! You deserve it. We all deserve it!!
“This is not about me/You or any individual !! This is for us and the next generation to come! Love everybody!”
The ‘Ojuelegba’ singer also expressed optimism that Nigerians will also show such spirit during the country’s next general election.
“Next election we show real power,” he added.
