The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has blacklisted 165 secondary schools in Kwara State for examination malpractices.
The affected schools are spread across the three Senatorial districts of the State.
WAEC conducted the examinations between April 8th and May 31st, 2019, across the country.
Reacting to the sad development in a statement in Ilorin, by his spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, described it “as unfortunate.”
He threatened heavy sanctions against the school heads or officials caught aiding and abetting examination malpractices in the state.
“The development is the worst in the history of the State,” governor Abdulrazaq lamented.
