The city of Warri and environs in Delta State was today shut down as ex-militant leader, High Chief Oweizide Government Ekpemupolo, Alias Tompolo celebrated his fiftieth birthday.
Hundreds of prominent Ijaw leaders and youths thronged major roads on a peace walk in celebration of Tompolo.
As early as 7am, they gathered at the Airport junction by Effurun/Warri road from where they marched through major roads and eventually terminated at the KFT event centre where the proper celebration took place.
